Abstract

|
|
Four cases of skin infections associated with Diabetes Mellitus were presented. Two patients have had recurrent and severe bacterial infections and the remains have had superficial fungal infections for several years.
On laboratory tests, two patients had remarkable glucosuria whom could make the diagnosis of Diabetes Mellitus and two patients did not show glucobut show typical curve of Diabetes Mellitus on glucose tolerance test.
Authors emphasize that patients who had recurrent and severe infections should be tested routinely the glucose tolerance test, and be given careful consideration on the personal habit to take much sugar.
